Hunger games

This week for my book group I read the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. If you haven't read it already or seen the movies The book is about a girl named Katniss. She lives in a world run by an oppressive government, where each year a boy and a girl from each district (there are 12 districts) is chosen to fight in a battle to the death. Her sister gets chosen, and Katniss volunteers to go in her place, plunging her into the horror that is the Hunger Games. This book is pretty good and I would recommend it to anyone open to reading it, except I think everyone in this class has already read it.
